Annie Pays Tribute - March 1, 2010
I received the sad news this weekend (as well as the rest of the
world) that the legendary bass player of Hall & Oates, T-Bone
Wolk had died.
Even though I only got the opportunity to meet this extraordinary man
once, he never seemed to forget who I was, always putting a good word
in for me whenever our musical paths did cross. In fact that’s
how I got to work with my song plugger in Nashville.
In a lot of ways I have always felt very connected to T-Bone and the
Hall & Oates family. My guitar player, Jeff Catania, played with
them for five years and all of my records were recorded, engineered and
mixed up at Daryl Hall’s studio by Peter Moshay (H&O’s
production guru on the road) and also a very dear friend of mine.
The world has lost one of their true musical heroes and my deepest heartfelt
sympathies go out to his family, friends and fans. T-Bone you will be
missed!
